All your photos are bright & clear, NICE ! How did you do it? High ISO, with prime lense?

  8. TY 30 October 2008 at 11:23 pm #

hi foong, yap i am using prime lense “50mm”, the restaurant got enough lighting, normally i am using iso 800-1600, but sometime depend on the location!

there are always surprises to see your photo. this time i found my primary friend and my high school fren in your photo!! hahhaa
Ronan is my primary fren, which i didn’t know he has an english name– i know him by Lim Chin Hoe! while the bride, we’re from the same high school…
penang is really small, in other pics, i saw lots of my primary long lost fren.

Thanks TY! I always enjoy seeing your pics, besides the good photos, i feel i am closer to Penang.

    Hi TY,
I like your photos very much. Your art work really inspire me. :)

TY, if you dont mind, can share a bit on your D3 camera picture control setting? I have a nikon D90 which has the same Picture Control as D300/D3.

    1. Your portrait shots have very natural and pleasing skin tone, and yet the background color maintain vivid, are you using Standard color setting? Or Neutral color setting? Under this setting, did you bump up the contrast, saturation and hue in camera?

    2. For White Balance, did you use Auto, or go with Preset?

Again, really like all your fantastic shots.

    Thanks.
    Rgds,
    TC

Hi TC, thanks for your nice words. eh i use vivid color setting and only bump up sharpen! i always set auto white balance but during night time, i am using color temperature setting and this depend on the location. haha…hope this will helpz:)
Many thanks to szemin & Darren ;)
