i Love Compact Camera with 24mm Wide Lens

I’ve used the Sony R1 for almost 3 years, and so far this is the best prosumer class camera that I’ve come across. The camera produces very sharp and natural colored photos, especially for landscape, macro and portrait shots and the best part is that the camera lens is wide enough at 24mm, which is something always lacking in other compact cameras…hihi…70% of my previous work was produced from this camera.

Nowadays, almost all compact cameras in the same price range has almost the same features, and for the average user, and if you can only get one digital compact camera, you might want to consider getting a wide-angled camera, you shouldn’t pass up these 3 models which has lens as wide as ~ 24mm.

lastly, haha, though I am not so an expert, I hope this will help you to narrow down the choices for all of you. As there’s no harm in using a wide-angles camera, who knows, it will come in handy in situations where you need to take group shots and the room is just not big enough for you to move back to get everyone in the photo!

hmm….. a lot more to learn form you, sometime it is good to get to know more from you all before choosing the camera, dun waste $$ to buy something that you may aware of the limitation of them form the expert.

70% from Sony R1? i tot ur photo were taken using Sony Alpha?
my experience even funnier, clients will get huu-hah if I use small cam to go shoot, they usually starts question, “can or not one ah?”
this happends to video camera mostly.

Hi Don, i am user of alpha a700 for about 6 month only, overall it is a great camera but just because of back focus problem on wide lens
yahyah….some people will have this thinking, is normal lahhh~. anyway…above compact camera is for normal use. hihi

your personal advice. LX3, would it be good to consider if i do not plan to invest so much on lens & kits upgrades…
any advice on this product? since u can obtain such perfect pictures via a presumer instead of SLR
Hi Shaun, compact camera for normal use is ok lah, 4r or websize no complains there…. but for enlarge print, the details sure not there already, especially at indoor/lowlight condition.
For prosumer camera, sony R1 is my top fav, but if you are able to find it in the market, maybe you should consider 1, but the price for this camera is not cheap lah, one thing good is u no need to invest on lens.
there is no perfect camera, you have to know wat you want, try b4 you buy

hey acithe, i am not sure where can get nv24, i think any samsung shop should have it kua…
for me i still prefer LX-3 lah, maybe u can try both b4 u buy
