Summer + Vacation – Hueyz
Posted on 05. Aug, 2008 by TY in Portraits
Special thanks to my photo buddy “TT” master – kaykhoon for arranging this session for ChiaHuey. Again the shooting location is fort cornwallis, it is the same location where we did the shooting for Ryoko 2 weeks ago during Penang BonOdori.
A little bit about the model. This is my 4th time do the shooting for Huey. This time she changed a new hairstyle, and as usual she is cheerful and have a pair of “lohloh” ~ drowsy eyes…
. since today is her birthday, i’ll put up her photos first, and wish her all the best and have a nice birthday.
i Love Compact Camera with 24mm Wide Lens
Posted on 11. Aug, 2008 by TY in Soft & Hard~Ware
I’ve used the Sony R1 for almost 3 years, and so far this is the best prosumer class camera that I’ve come across. The camera produces very sharp and natural colored photos, especially for landscape, macro and portrait shots and the best part is that the camera lens is wide enough at 24mm, which is something always lacking in other compact cameras…hihi…70% of my previous work was produced from this camera.

Result of 24mm Wide Angle Lens (**Normal Compact Camera Wide Range from 28mm – 35mm)

Nowadays, almost all compact cameras in the same price range has almost the same features, and for the average user, and if you can only get one digital compact camera, you might want to consider getting a wide-angled camera, you shouldn’t pass up these 3 models which has lens as wide as ~ 24mm.
Panasonic Lumix DMC-LX3

Ricoh GX100 (not easy to get it in Malaysia loh
)

Samsung NV24 (Available now)

More Details about the camera spec…click here
lastly, haha, though I am not so an expert, I hope this will help you to narrow down the choices for all of you. As there’s no harm in using a wide-angles camera, who knows, it will come in handy in situations where you need to take group shots and the room is just not big enough for you to move back to get everyone in the photo!
Good Try
Yit Yin * Sayang
Posted on 12. Aug, 2008 by TY in Portraits
August, although is not a busy month for me in terms of wedding assignments, but…it is a busy month for ‘TT’. Wahahahaha….. ![]()
Ok let’s start the story….
Yit yin is a local penang girl with a very unique style that I like a lot. She is someone who is easy to talk to, friendly with an extremely casual look. The shooting was done at Batu Ferringhi, Penang, as usual with another 3 photo buddies ~ g3k, andy and achiet.
By day, Yit Yin works at a hospital, as an OT nurse, er….Operation Theatre nurse. One they way, to and from the shooting, she related to us some of her experience while working in the operating room and it sure made us feel a bit uneasy. Haha, really have to salute her as she has the courage to go through with her work.
enough talk, here are some photos to share with you all
Powerful Image Resizing Software
Posted on 17. Aug, 2008 by TY in Soft & Hard~Ware
A new technology presented at Siggraph 2007 for resizing pictures / retouching.
Wow…. amazing… the software performs calculations on the entropy of an image to allow you to resize it while keeping the overall look and quality of the image. Have a look of this video clip, it is nice to see something innovative like this…..! look like i don’t need to invest a wide angle lens….kekeke
but problem here, “where to get this software” ?
Friendship Forever
Posted on 19. Aug, 2008 by TY in Portraits
Really have no idea what title to use for this album d….”friendship forever”….eh….sounds ok ok lah, just that my mind don’t have better…. hahaha.
Had this great opportunity to join my friend G3K, family and friends for an outing a few months ago. The objective for this outing was to capture some moments for ” Ivy ” who is leaving the group to work for SIA as a stewardess. A total of 8 potogs were invited (including me), and ended up I shot more personal portraits than the group shots….wahahhaha.

It was great to join the big team (about 50pax) for the Penang Heritage Photowalks organised by Scott Kelby’s. For the Penang’s Team, we were lead by Matt Brandon, who is a digital trekker travels all the round the world to capture portraits of people set in their natural environment.
ok……What is a Photo Walk?
It’s a social photography event where photographers get together, usually in a downtown area or trendy section of town, to walk around, shoot photos, and generally have fun with other photographers.
Here are some photos that i took
