MingKwok + SooWan – Dinner

Posted on 01. Jul, 2008 by TY in Wedding

Date: 14, June 2008
Location: Penang

Thanks for MingKwok+SooWan for giving me a chance to be part of their wedding day, this is a 2-day event, where the dinner is held on the 14th, and follow by the tea ceremony on the 15th. Penang is such a small small world, er… island, hehe, as i bumped into my sister + my brother in law at the dinner. turns out that MingKwok is a relative of my brother-in-law!

Ok, so let’s talk a little bit about this new couple. MingKwok, who is currently based in Singapore, contacted me through the phone about 2 months ago and to confirm my services. They are a very happy and jovial couple, never once stop smiling throughout the dinner. Do find below some photos of the dinner receptions to share with all of you :)

Living in World Heritage Sites – “Penang & Melaka”

Posted on 10. Jul, 2008 by TY in Blog

I am glad that UNESCO has awarded Georgetown, Penang and Malacca as cultural world heritage sites recently.
As a 100% Penang born resident and Malacca town lover, i wish to thank all the people who have worked hard in getting this great recognition and i hope all will continue to maintain this status for our next generations.

Georgetown and Malacca are among eights sites chosen by UNESCO, i feel very lucky to have the opportunity to captured the beauty of these two World Heritage sites, the other sites are in Croatia, France, Papua New Guinea, San Marino, Slovakia and Germany. Hope i can cover all the heritage sites in the future…. ;)

A short history of Penang and Malacca
Malacca and George Town, historic cities of the Straits of Malacca (Malaysia) have developed over 500 years of trading and cultural exchanges between East and West in the Straits of Malacca. The influences of Asia and Europe have endowed the towns with a specific multicultural heritage that is both tangible and intangible. With its government buildings, churches, squares and fortifications, Melaka demonstrates the early stages of this history originating in the 15th-century Malay sultanate and the Portuguese and Dutch periods beginning in the early 16th century. Featuring residential and commercial buildings, George Town represents the British era from the end of the 18th century. The two towns constitute a unique architectural and cultural townscape without parallel anywhere in East and Southeast Asia. – United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO)

3rd tri-mester * fay + chengyi

Posted on 12. Jul, 2008 by TY in Maternity

My 4th maternity shoot. And this time it’s the pregnancy of my best friend’s wife ~ fay. Chengyi, the father-to-be has been my good friend and playmate since we were very young, and his wife, Fay, has been wanting to do this maternity session for a long time. So, this was a special arrangement for them, and they traveled up from KL to Penang for this shooting. The title of this set, comes from the fact that Fay is in her 3rd tri-mester, 7 months into the pregnancy.

Buddies that came along for this shoot were achiet, and g3k. Do enjoy the photos being presented here.

Posted on 17. Jul, 2008 by TY in Pre-Wedding, Wedding

This is my second assignment in Langkawi, well…this is a relaxing trip cos everything has been well arranged by the couple.
however, at the last minute, our flight to Langkawi was canceled by this “kanasai” firefly, i was very lucky to still be able to get a ferry ticket 2 days before to langkawi… but then the ups and down of the ferry movement for the duration of the 4 hours journey caused me to be almost sick.
after such a long journey, i finally arrived safely.

here’s a little preview,… complete album coming soon ;)
